Common questions
Do you upload my photos?
No. Clean My Photos organizes and reviews your library using on-device metadata and Apple's Photos APIs. Sorting and review happen locally — we do not upload your camera roll for analysis.
What happens when I delete something?
Items you clear are queued first. After you confirm, they are removed from your library using Apple's deletion APIs — typically to Recently Deleted, where you can recover them for a period defined by iOS.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free includes 15 swipe reviews per calendar day. Pro removes that limit and unlocks unlimited swipes, bulk cleanup, faster batch deletion, and all Pro tools. Both plans use the same private, on-device approach.
Are the GB numbers exact?
No. Home and category totals use your real photo counts plus average file-size estimates — they are labeled as approximate. When you queue items for deletion, we refine the estimate per asset where possible. Actual space freed depends on your device and iCloud.
How do duplicates work?
Duplicates are matched on your device using file size and creation date — a fast, private heuristic. You always review matches yourself before anything is deleted.
How do I restore Pro after reinstalling?
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Apple validates your prior App Store purchase; RevenueCat syncs your entitlement.
