Terms of Service
Hazcott Systems is a trading name of Hazcott Limited. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Clean My Photos application and related services we provide ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The service
Clean My Photos helps you review and remove unwanted photos and videos from your iPhone camera roll using on-device tools, including:
- Category-based browsing (screenshots, videos, duplicates, other photos)
- Swipe-based review and a deletion queue with confirmation
- Storage estimates and cleanup utilities in the Cleaner hub
- Optional Clean My Photos Pro features (unlimited swipes, bulk cleanup, and related Pro tools)
The App is a utility. You are solely responsible for reviewing items before deletion and for maintaining backups of important content.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms with you.
3. Apple App Store
The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your purchase and use are also subject to Apple's applicable terms and policies. Apple is not a party to these Terms except as required for App Store distribution.
For App Store purchases, billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple. To cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID subscription settings.
4. Subscriptions and Pro
4.1 Free tier
The free version includes a daily limit on review swipes (currently 15 per calendar day) and access to core on-device cleanup features, subject to change with notice in the App or on this site.
4.2 Clean My Photos Pro
Pro is offered as:
- Monthly subscription — auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Lifetime purchase (when available) — one-time non-consumable unlock through the App Store.
Prices are displayed in the App at purchase time and may vary by region and currency. Features included in Pro are listed in the App and may evolve over time; we will not materially remove core paid functionality without reasonable notice.
4.3 Restore purchases
You may restore prior Pro purchases through the in-app Restore Purchases feature, subject to Apple's and our entitlement provider's validation rules.
5. Photos library access
The App requires permission to access your Photos library. You may revoke access at any time in iOS Settings; without access, core features will not work. You represent that you have the right to manage the content in the library you connect.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
- Circumvent swipe limits or payment systems
- Rely on the App as your only backup — deleted items may not be recoverable after Apple's Recently Deleted retention period
7. No guarantee of results
Storage savings estimates, duplicate detection, and category counts are approximate and based on on-device heuristics. Actual space recovered depends on your library, iOS behavior, and what you choose to delete. We do not guarantee any specific amount of freed storage or that all duplicates will be identified.
8. Intellectual property
The App, branding, design, and documentation are owned by Hazcott Limited or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain all rights to your photos and videos. We do not claim ownership of your content.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using the App, you acknowledge that policy.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HAZCOTT LIMITED AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING DELETION OF PHOTOS OR VIDEOS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) GBP £50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Changes
We may modify the App or these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, stop using the App and cancel any subscription through Apple.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EU/UK may also have mandatory rights under local consumer protection laws.
